An idea came into being in 1998 when Dr. Huang Lihong talked to his kind and respected teacher, Andre Kostolany, who was called the “Buffett of Germany”, consulting him on the economy management and investment technic, and when they exchanged opinions on brainpower and national strength. They reached a common understanding that capital and academic research should be combined to the affairs which have the positive influence to the world, so the Global Competitiveness Research Institute was founded.

However, Mr. Andre Kostolany passed away in 1999. And the institute was founded until 2003. With the support of the International Brainpower Integration Funds, Elite University of America, and Rich Character Creativity Life Industry Group LLC,the Global Competitive Research Center was established, which belongs to the International Relationship Research Institute of Elite University of America.

From 2003 to 2005, the Global Competitiveness Research Institute devoted itself into the international affairs and the sustainable development of the United Nations and achieved remarkable success. At the same time, it assisted the United Nations to promote economy, and provided the developing countries with assistance and monographic studies. With the support of many outstanding scientists and the heads-union of universities from Europe, Asia, America and Canada, the Global Competitiveness Research Institute was built up in the early February, 2006. Research centers were set up in the US. , China and Panama respectively.

The subject we study is a brand-new economy pattern compared with traditional one, and it is a strategic choice to realize sustainable development as well as the best way to coordinate society with economy and environment. In the 21st century, global competition and knowledge economy have become hot issues. Our institute is an open organization composed of theories and practices, aiming at uniting all those who devote themselves into research and practice of global competition, lead the theory of global competitive to the international society and provide supports to competitiveness legislation of every countries as well as consultant services to governments and enterprises. Meanwhile, we will be engaged in teaching activities, training high-qualified and all-round developed talents so as to push this subject forwards. 		\n
